Wire pulled of rom trunk area and now gas gauge won't work
« on: April 21, 2015 - 09:18:30 PM »
Do I need to drop the tank to reattach the line to the sending unit?

I think so, the fuel sender wire goes through a grommet in the trunk. Hope it's not too short now.

Just get under the car and plug it back into the sending unit. I'm not understanding what the problem is.  :clueless:

Oh, so it's exposed and I can get to the sending unit from the bottom of the car w/o dropping the tank? It's so low, I cannot see underneath at all.

Sweet, Thanks. Hopefully my ramps will get the backend up enough to squeeze underneath

Shouldn't even need ramps. If you do, you probably need springs....

I was thinking ramps because I'm too fat to get under the car. But if it's on the side of the tanks near the DS back tires, I'll give it a shot. Does the wire get screwed on?
