I have an eastwood near me. I might just take a drive over and check out what they have. Thx Joey.

I used 5 gallons of Lizzard Skin ceramic heat block followed by 5 gallons of sound insulation. Sprayed it on from the fire wall to the trunk including the inside of the roof covering all the primed metal surfaces. It works well but I'm going to follow up with some Dynamat. It's not as quiet as I had hoped.

Okay Guys, thanks for all the input. I was gonna go with eastwood but one of the on line reviews said the sound deadener started to leak and ooze the first time it got hot. So I got a little worried bout trying it.

I ended up surrendering and buying the name brand. So I bought dynamat and dynaliner from summit. I had a code so I got 10 pct off.

I did the doors today and got the door panels on using just the dynamat. I must admit that the doors close with the feel and sound of a modern car. I've had  a lot of e bodies and the doors on this one are a pleasant surprise.

I will use the dynamat  and dynaliner on the floors.

How much material did it take to cover the interior (less the roof)? I'm thinking of going the same route.

Yours looks great.  :2thumbs:
I haven't done my doors yet. But looks like I'm about to now.
Can you provide closer pics of the dynamat on the doors? Especially in the contour and cut out areas?

Thanks,
Tom

Is there difference in sound reduction between putting the material on the inside of the door skin compared to the inside of the door?

I'm not really sure how this stuff works. But I would think on the doors at least by covering all the huge access holes you get rid of the echoing effect? Just a guess.  :clueless:

Not sure yet. I only have the doors done. I used 3 sheets total so far.

Finoke, I have my interior out and now is the time to do some sound control.  Did you ever finish your car and how much Dynamat did you end up using for the floors and doors?

Hey, i used 3-1/2 bulk packs to do the whole interior. from the bottom of the windshield to the bottom of the rear glass, roof and behind front and back panels as well as the trunk divider. I had a couple peices left so used it under the front fenders about an 8" strip front to back to protect from rock chips or dents underside of fenders are painted so it stuck really good when i rolled it on and car will never see rain so i thought is was an easy yet affective way to protect the paint. any thoughts?

You didn't mention it, but something I did was to use a heat gun to soften it up when I rolled it. That allowed it to go down into all the dips etc in the floor boards and other places. Since I have spacers under my seats to get them level, there is limited length of bolt to go through the floor boards, so in that area where the seat frame contacts I removed the mat.

I've always used Peel N Seal from Lowes or Home Depot.  Way cheaper than Dynomat and in my opinion does almost as good as job.  The only down side to this product is if you are in warm states in the summer it doesn't hold very well to doors or roofs.  I only use it on my floors and never had an issue.

Here's a picture from it installed in my 64 impala

I used 3 packs of the 9 sheets of dynamat and 3 boxes of dynaliner to do the Cuda.
