How hard is it to remove 71 billboards?
« on: April 23, 2015 - 11:43:09 AM »
They're new, only a year or so old. i got a small tear in the D/S door and it bothers me. I imagine it would look off if i just pulled the door section. Any recomendations on how to pull them off w/o damaging the paint?

I love how the decal on that can is likely 30 or more years old and most people wouldn't even understand what is going on in that picture lol.

Should i try heating up the door edges with a heat gun to get it going? i imagine i'll have to pull the door handles and rear side lights to get it off cleanly.

Yes on the handles and lights. I wouldn't use heat. This 3M stuff works awesome and doesn't harm the paint.  :2thumbs:

You spray right on top of the decal and wait a bit...The decal starts to shrivel up and practically falls off...

I don't have pictures of the passenger side, because I was to impatient to wait for the proper 3M stuff that I used a heat gun. The paint lifted right off the door.
I've used the 3M stuff several times including on my Superbird....I wouldn't do it any other way :2cents:

The second picture was taking before I washed the residue off....

Probably like an auto body supply store, most likely NAPA can order it in for you.
