They're new, only a year or so old. i got a small tear in the D/S door and it bothers me. I imagine it would look off if i just pulled the door section. Any recomendations on how to pull them off w/o damaging the paint?

I love how the decal on that can is likely 30 or more years old and most people wouldn't even understand what is going on in that picture lol.

Should i try heating up the door edges with a heat gun to get it going? i imagine i'll have to pull the door handles and rear side lights to get it off cleanly.

Yes on the handles and lights. I wouldn't use heat. This 3M stuff works awesome and doesn't harm the paint.

It is very easy using a heat gun.

You spray right on top of the decal and wait a bit...The decal starts to shrivel up and practically falls off...

I don't have pictures of the passenger side, because I was to impatient to wait for the proper 3M stuff that I used a heat gun. The paint lifted right off the door.
I've used the 3M stuff several times including on my Superbird....I wouldn't do it any other way

The second picture was taking before I washed the residue off....
