Brother CP always recommends the Mopar Chrome Box, I was just on RockAuto & they have some clearance priced ECU's & ballasts.
All the conversion kits come with the 2-terminal ballast and from what I understand the newer ECUs don't need a 4-terminal

the Rev-n-ator is awesome but there seems to be some reliabilty issues
I used approx 5 of the FBO kits & the car ran better with every FBO piece removed & replaced , maybe his limiter box is better quality as I have not tried those

I'd go with an MSD box. I swapped out a chrome box for an MSD 6 and starting and bottom end were much improved. Pulls harder from a stop and starts with very little starter engagement. And you get rid of the ballast resistor entirely.  :2thumbs:
Now excuse me while I get into my nomex suit before CP flames me.  :grinyes:

FBO looks good and eliminates ballast resistor.

This is a good thread. I'm running an orange box and am ready to step up a notch or two.

The only negative thing I can say about the FBO, is the commercialization on the cover.  At least make it look stock orange, chrome, or gold with an FBO logo or something.

That's one of the reasons I like the REV-N-NATOR and results from it have been flawless.

If you go with the FBO HRR688 and the 40011 coil be sure to go with vertical mount for that coil.  I went with the 40111 which is epoxy filled so I could mount on the intake like stock.  The 688 and 12v coil which bypasses or does away with the resistor is working well so far, only a couple hundred miles, but very pleased, and with the same characteristics as the MSD comments.  (I can't comment on another product I have not tried.  All can be good... your mileage may vary.  :grinyes: )  Working fine with the old MP electronic dist, yes - Don says make sure the pick-up coil is not weak, so I refreshed it.
