Sorry I meant other Mopar brands (come on this is a mopar board ), in the late 60s early 70s.  Other then the high impact colours, was there a mopar purple available?

Ok, so is Plum Crazy, Dodge FC7 the same color as Chrysler Purple Metallic code C7 ?

C7 is the color.  The letter in front of it is the year it was first released.  For instance, there are multiple B5's.  Each will have a different letter in front of them to tell them apart.

In 1971 they offered a darker purple C8. I believe it was discontinued during the model year.

My 1999 Dakota was Purple but I don't remember the name of the exact color off of the window sticker. I'll look at home and see if I can find it.

All the paint chips are listed here in the Hamtramck-Historical registry:
http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/library.shtml

Imperial had a code M9 (Deep Plum) in 1970, and Dodge & Plymouth C-bodies had a code C8 (Indigo Metallic) in 1971, and Imperial had M8 (Sparkling Burgandy Metallic).  By 1972, it looks like they were all gone from the paint lists.
