My intro

Hi, Yesterday I bought this 74 Challenger restoration project.   It very solid with nearly now rust, but a couple of areas needing repair, and then painted and everything reinstalled.   Engine is a 76 360 bored .030 and with a pretty hot cam.   Never run. 

Im thinking of changing out the front grill to make it look like a 70 challenger..   Anyone know what all is involved for that??

Welcome to the site. It looks like you have a good start.

The 74 to 70 grill swap can be done. IMO the hardest part will be the headlight buckets. In 70 they're mounted directly to the fender structure, and I think there may be a depth difference.

im sure you can bring that one back to its former glory.  sounds like you have a good engine and if you decide to do the 70 grill that will be a nice touch

Thanks guys, I live in Fuquay-Varina, NC.   Originally from Pittsburgh.   My first ever new car was a 70 Challenger with slant six and standard 3 sp on the floor in dark green with beige interior...    I loved that car..   Stupidly I traded it in on a 72 b7 blue charger.   Wish I had them both back!! 

I have restored a 66 Dodge Charger to nice driver condition..   It was in way way worse shape than this one.   Its restoration pictures are on my facebook in an album.
