Thanks for the link....Not quite what I was expecting.....A couple of nice cars, but it looks like a lot of driver quality or, even less cars, filling the grounds :'( :dunno:

That is ture Alan. I have only attened a couple of times, but there seems to be a lot of "daily drivers" in attendance. Last time I was there they had over 500 cars in attendance. the show field is on grass, but very dusty, so show cars are constintly dusting they car.  :screwy:

Same thing happens with our CDN show Moparfest.   They are the North America's third largest Mopar Only show with over 1600 in attendance.....but a good 75% of them are a little better then daily drivers.  :-[
At least they limit the amount of "new" cars, otherwise we'd get over run with new Challengers, Chargers, etc... :-*

Great pics thanks for sharing...but am I missing something-was the spring fling supposed to be a mopar concourse event? If not, isn't the goal  for us all to share our cars with each other...whether it be daily driver, local car show ready, AND concourse?

Car shows mean different things to different people. Not living anywhere near this Spring Fling show, I've only read or heard good things about it. As I said, the quality of the cars in attendance are not what I was imagining...that's all !

 :iagree:
One of the advantages of living in California is the fact that we can drive our cars pretty much year round.
Of course since my AAR is offline for a while we could use a little (a lot) of rain, while I'm restoring it.
I just hope I live long enough to put 75K on it like R/T :worshippy
I can appreciate the quality of a first class restoration, I just wan't something that looks good, and drives better!
Just 2 different approaches, one not better then the other :2cents:
Greg
"There's no such thing as putting a '70 AAR 'Cuda exactly where you want it. The 'Cuda isn't interested in such things, for they require finesse. Finesse asked the 'Cuda out to dinner once, but the 'Cuda stood it up to go drink beer under an overpass with her hot little sister. As far as this car is concerned, finesse can go stuff itself."

Yes the spring fling is an event that encourages all types of Mopars.  Past shows have had road course day at Willow Springs raceway, http://www.willowspringsraceway.com/ and there is almost always a cruise night around Simi Valley or to Malibu, plus there have been pre event cars shows at Bobs Big Boys.

Some of those pictures are actually cars parked outside of the show area.  There are almost as many Mopars in the parking lot then there are in the show area.

Its a great show, very laid back.

I can see where that would make a huge difference. :2thumbs:
