1972 Cuda cloned to a 71 Cuda Convertible - SOLD
« on: April 30, 2015 - 08:06:11 PM »
Thinking of selling my convertible. It was originally a 72 Cuda 340 hardtop that someone cloned/converted to 1971 Plymouth Cuda Convertible. I bought it as a rolling painted shell. It was already converted but pretty much a bare roller. I added a 1969 440 Hp, AC, auto, lots of new parts Fuel lines, brake lines, tank, factory style exhaust, wiring, aftermarket front disc brakes, new rear brakes, 3:55 sure grip, 15x7 Ralley Wheels, and lots more. It runs and drives well but could use some finishing touches & paint touch up. Asking $30,000 but I'm open to offers and interesting trades. This car is a great looking driver but is no show car.

Larry sounds like a good guy we talked for awhile last night. I was hoping to sell mine out right or maybe take in a partial lower priced car in trade. His Roadrunner is a little more than I'm looking for right now and I have my eye on a couple of other cars that have popped up.

Nice car. I'll bet it was hard to find all the convertible parts. I'd like to try doing that sometime.

Got around 40 emails so far. About 10 with low ball offers sight unseen (probably dealers or flippers). 5 more offering over valued trades. I think it is priced fair and I do still have some wiggle room. You just cant buy a running and driving e-body convertible like this for under $30k or even $40k. Hell a real one will cost you $90k....A local guy looked at it this afternoon and really liked it and is sleeping on it. Another local guy is supposed to look at it tomorrow. Several members contacted me as well but haven't called me to discuss. I drove it quite a bit today and now I'm trying to remember why I was selling it in the first place.

I don't know who did it & for the most part yes. It isn't perfect by any means but it is solid and safe.
