First annual memorial car cruise
« on: May 05, 2015 - 10:02:37 AM »
I don't know how many members we have in this area but I thought I'd post this anyway.  If you're a long ways away but are still interested in a shirt let me know and I can add you to the list.  The OMCC logo will be on one side of the shirt.  We are working on a car design for the other side.  We are also thinking about having a silent auction.  If anyone has anything they would like to donate, let me know.

We are starting a website but it isn't up and running yet.  There is a Facebook page if any of you are on that site. https://www.facebook.com/owenscruise I'll post any more info as we get things sorted out.

Fantastic Idea...I too wish I was closer..... :worshippy

But honestly, I find the flyer a little confusing :clueless:

It's call a "cruise"  which means to me, you're either driving somewhere together, or parking somewhere together like a cruise night.

But then it says it's at a "raceway"...not knowing the area, I'm not sure if that's drag racing or circle track racing and what does that have to do with a cruise?

Then it's talking about "test & tune"....? Is this a race or a show ?

Also states participants must pass a tech inspection ?...again, not really understanding why ?

If I'm a participant, what exactly am I doing all day....your flyer is not exactly clear to someone who hasn't a clue....I'm sure the locals will understand better.... :2cents:

I do think it's great what you're doing in your son's name :worshippy :angelwings:

It says show and shine (car show)  it also says test and tune drag strip. I would guess you could do either or both.

The race track(Drag Strip) has a Test and Tune that day.  They are letting us use the track as a starting/stopping point for the cruise.  After the cruise is done, anyone who wants to take their car down the track has that opportunity.  They will have to pass tech inspection and pay a minimal fee to the track if they want to do that.

Sorry for being a PITA.....I got the idea now....I thought you needed a tech inspection to join the cruise. :banghead: :screwy:  Guess I need to just keep my mouth shut....

I hope you have a wonderful show :drunk:

The cruise is approaching quickly.  It's only three weeks away.  We just finalized the shirt design this weekend.  For anyone interested in purchasing a shirt, they are $25 each.  That includes shipping.  I know it's not much time, but please let me know the size and quantity in the next couple days.  The screen printer needs to get working on them.  We will have a few extras printed off but we don't want to be stuck with a lot of unsold shirts.  Please help support St Jude and keep Owen's memory alive.  Thanks
Darren

Thanks to Bruce Anliker for putting together the shirt design for us.
