    I don't men to hijack this thread but i'm wondering....does the manual steering box give considerably more room for headers?

    I would like to add a question also. 

    What is the horse power gap between the two.  Is it considerable horse power?

    I switched to power steering last year and had no issues with the headers:



    Certainly more room with the manual box, sorry no pics.

    I've driven both  -  power steering and manual steering.   I have to say that I prefer the power steering to turning a plow.

      on my car it was 4 hp less. I switched back to ps, and when it was on dyno, I took off the belt to see how much, but it was like 4 hp.

    I have to jump in here. I usually convert from power to manual. The power steering is so over assisted that I find there is no road feel when driving. It's also just something else to spring a leak. The manual box is not filled with liquid.  :2thumbs:

    When driving it feels remarkably like manual steering, until you need to park or something, then it has just enough assist to steer easy.
