Proform , Quickfuel or Holley HP are all good , you want the latest series with removable air bleeds for idle & jetting .
I have used a lot of the Proform usually a few $$ cheaper but great carbs , try Mancini for Proform

I bought the Quick Fuel Black Diamond 850. Replaced a 750cfm Holley 3310. The difference was night and day - the holley was 20 years old and probably had slowly developed issues that I didn't notice - but it seemed like I bolted on 25HP.

950 cfm at a minimum. Double pumper will give it the fuel immediately.  950 cfm is a tad small on a 572 CI Hemi imho.....

ok thx ken, yeah seemed small to me as well but the info with the engine suggests an 850? it's not the monster you have but it is a 572 so i would go with a recomendation from people who know and have real world experience with hemis like yourself.

Thx Bruce

if street, 850 DP, mechanical sec.
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

950 cfm will be an ideal match for that engine, transmission, and rear end

I have the 850 on my 440 and it has great manners. I would not go smaller than the 950 on a 572.  :2cents:

I agree, 950, if the car regularly goes to 6000 rpm. But on the street, he'd
go to jail! I don't think the 850 DP on my 496 is near its limit, hp wise.

Hey thanks everyone for taking the time to pass along your suggestions, seems like the 950 gets the nod, so now it would be down to a brand. Again I would appreciate your thoughts so I will let you guys to fight out. Lol.
