Old thread, I would recommend staying away from UR.
Mine is crap, wished I had got one from Just Dashes.

I looked them both over really good at Spring Fling a few weeks ago.  Overall the Just Dashes looked like is was swollen.  It was to puffy and I didn't like the all black emblem.  The quality looked good.  Over at Ultimate Rides they had about a dozen dash pads.  He rates them 1's and 2's.  His pads where not over padded and looked more correct IMO.  I looked over about 4 or 5 dashes really good and the quality was good on the 1's, but you can see he does sell some factory seconds that were not perfect.  But he sells them for less.  I like the emblems on Ultimate Rides dashes much better.  Overall I don't think there is a perfect dash company.  Just Dashes wants twice the price as Ultimate Rides and I prefer the more correct look of Ultimate Rides.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

here we go again,

UR= Dash pro = Dash masters. for the Money the Process and grain is better than JD like half the price for a better product. issue that Cody pointed out is the JD does NOT strip the old foam off, they just repair and use the GM style vinyl. UR strips the frame, re foams, and uses the better grain as with Ford uses.

there are NO NOS pads in quantity to be had or I believe Alan or Cody would have them all, LOL as Cody pointed out Neither are perfect.

Let me know which pad style your looking for as I do have a few coming in from UR soon.

Great information here!
My T/A project has an UR dash I got through a group buy here years ago... finally got installed last year and I think it looks very good! The restoration shop I used for the project likes Just Dashes.  After he installed my UR and before I had a chance to see it, I asked him how it looked and he was very negative about it.  After I got to see it, I didn't know what he was talking about because it looks good to me.  :dunno:  I wasn't too pleased with my experience with that restoration shop so I dismiss his negativity toward the UR dash as mainly reflecting his bad attitude and piss poor customer service...  :screwy:
I've really needed to replace my burnt orange dash in my convertible for a while and need to stop procrastinating.  How is UR with colors other than black?  I have a black non air 1 speaker core stashed away, but the vert has an AC 3 speaker.  Would I need to return the AC 3 speaker core or would I be OK returning the spare core to UR if I buy a new pad for the vert soon?
