IMO GA4 Gunmetal was ahead of its time , most cars today are available in some form of Silver / Charcoal hue so it has become more acceptable to the mainstream but was odd in 71 for sure , I love the blue in the gunmetal nicer color than most silvers today

I like the F8 green on Fastback Barracudas, but not the square bodied Darts of the same era. I think it looks great on Road Runners and certain "C" bodies - but not so great on the "E" bodies.

I think "fresh" F8 is a gorgeous color...especially on an AAR or T/A.  Some of you may remember that F8 70 Hemi Cuda from back in the late 90's, early 2000's.  It made the rounds in all the magazines.  It had body colored plain steel wheels.

Would that be this EF8 beauty that Roger Gibson restored back then??

Boy, that's a good topic. Trying to imagine sitting at the dealership in '70 and going through which colour to order... think it would probably be FJ5 "Lime Light". That colour seems to just glow.

It was a tough decision what color to paint mine when I was at that crossroads.

My 3 colors I narrowed it down to were:

B2 Light Blue Metallic
A4 Light Gunmetal Grey
B5 Brite Blue Mettalic

When I took it to the De Anza Mopar show last year, I had alot of compliments on my color choice on the light blue metallic. It was the only light blue E body there. It's a timeless color that won't fall out of being fashionable.

I wanted my car to stand out and have a color that I won't get burnt out looking at. Certain colors get old after a while. Or everyone else has that color also on their e body.

When i ordered my cuda in '72 i chose gold and black because i had just graduated from high school and our school colors were gold and black.  My car takes me back to being 18 when i drive it.  Corny story but true.

Yes it is.

Quite amazing.

Mike Mancini and his crew do a fantastic job for sure!
It was worth the two year wait to get it done at his shop.

All the nos and oem parts fit really well.
Can't even tell what occurred.

B5 is a great color for sure, and its been a staple for mopar for decades, but these polls are usually won by the purple colors, which mopar still uses some variant of today. Styles and colors come and go, but those two (blue and purple) have longevity.
Personally, I have a hard time telling close colors apart. I had a mystic blue stealth, which looked to me just like viper blue, which looks the same as the old B5 and the new B5. I cant tell you today if they arent all the exact same color  :dunno:
