brake hose

I just want to confirm that there is supposed to be a copper washer between the brake hose and the caliper. My hoses are the style that screw right into the caliper...there is NO banjo bolt. My ps hose is leaking. I tightened up the hose but it just doesn't want to seal. I found this while researching. Is this the correct washer for my style of brake hose or does it take something else?

If you have a hose with a threaded end and a seat in the caliper then there is no washer. If there is no seat(like in the rear wheel cylinders) just a hole, then you need a copper washer.

it is a flare seal as I recall where the hose meets the caliper machining
