Bumper Bracket Removal

Curious how everything gets the front ones off? The bolts on each front bracket are just spinning. With the boxed frame rail it is hard to get a wrench in there, but I have tried, in addition to jamming the nut with a pry bar.

I see that everyone removes them, so there has to be something I am missing.

You've broken off the welded nuts inside the frame....very hard top deal with now. Do you have a torch ?

Must be stronger than superman or the welds sucked because I did it with a eight inch 3/8 ratchet lol

Haha dang it, was hoping I was that strong. I really wanted to save the hardware, but I figure I will just go ahead and cut it and buy more when I go to reinstall.

That's about you only option, unless you want to cut a hole in the side of the frame rail so you can get a wrench/ratchet on the spinning bolt.  Then you will have to weld up the whole.

You could get some rubber push in plugs like are used on the floor pan, cut the correct size hole for them, then pop them in when your done.

Good idea. Will think about doing that when I manage to get these off.

Car must have been a Monday/Friday welded car lol.
