« on: May 09, 2015 - 05:37:08 PM »
Hey Folks, need help. I diassembled & refurbished all parts, starting reassembly.I can'tget the right positon for the tabbed retainer that goes on the top off the shift tube against the shift housing casting. The service manual does not show.I've tried every different way & position & nothing works. Must be doing something wrong. Anyone had a similar problem? Pictures?
I've got all these new parts but can't get the first stage put together-- PLEASE HELP!!!

shoot me a PM with your email address and I can send you a great PDF document on the reassembly of a steering column that should help.

Thanks Jason ,but I have many books &  articles .The retainer goes in to housing so that wavy washer sits against it. Took 2 days to figure out--That's what happens wjhen you get old--memory goes !!!!
