Hood latch assembly for 73 Barracuda?

The hood latch assembly on my 73 Barracuda has a broken spring. So I am looking for a replacement. I see there are reproduction units from Dynacorn that say "70-74 Barracuda"

Then there are other listing for that part that say "1970 only"? Is there a difference in the 70, 71, 72, 73 and/or 74 hood latch assembly?

We sold a spring for a '70 Barracuda hood latch (AMD product, for '70-'74 Barracuda) two months ago and customer reported that it worked fine. Since all the Barracuda hoods are for the 1970-74, there should not be a difference.  Our experience with Dynacorn is that they know what they are doing and if they say it fits '70-'74, you can believe them. We have (musclecarmetal.com) sold Dynacorn parts for the past 10 years and are very happy with their quality and fit.

The assembly shown in the link will only fit 70 because the release handle will not fit thru the grill for 71 or 72-74. 71 is different from 72-74 as well.

So I need to find a used 72-74 latch assembly then?     Figured that it would be to easy to be able to buy a new one and it work out.     Kind of like trying to find a good grille!   I bought the car about 10 years ago and still have not found one of those in good shape!  But I am to the point of no return now.  Started on it 4 months ago and I have to find a few parts or the project will get behind.

Nice looking project!! With the hood latch, I would think that you should have time to find one while working on other components of the car. Lots of things need to be completed and the latch is an real easy bolt on item.

Found another one that was just listed.  It was just the lever assembly and the top plate.  Verified with the seller it was in good working order and the spring was intact!
