Is there any part number on the old rad's top tank ?

I didn't really look for a part number, but had a buddy that wanted it as a core to rebuild, so I gave it to him.

I got the front suspension all taken apart yesterday!  WOW!!  WAY different front end setup than a Camaro or Mustang.  I like it   While I am at it, I'm going to replace the steering box and refurbish the steering column.  New suspension (QA1 and Hotchkis) and front disc brake conversion on the way!

I was able to put the QA-1 Upper Control Arms in and QA-1 Dynamic Strut bars, QA-1 Lower Control Arms and Hotchkis Torsion bars.

Finished getting the suspension all hung including SSBC front disc conversion and power booster.  I measured the caster, camber and toe the best I could with a tape measure until I get it aligned.  I really liked the QA-1 and Hotchkis components and the SSBC disc brake conversion went very smooth.

While the suspension was apart I went ahead and removed and rebuilt the steering column and replaced the steering gear box.

The nylon support is junk.

Funny you should ask...I sure did!  I read that thread before rebuilding the column...love this place!

I also installed the steering coupler clamp.  I think I saw that here also:

Installed the new Power brake booster, master cylinder and prop valve.  I also went ahead and installed all new brake lines throughout.  I also refurbished the door panels and rear panels.

Jeez, do you have 6 brothers who help you? That's an amazing amount of work you've done and the car's just gotta love you for it.

Took apart the front grill to refurbish.  After working on this car, it seem better built than my same year Mustangs and Camaros!

Pulled out some Weld Prostars that I had on a Mustang at one time and test fitted them onto the Challenger.  I think they look pretty good!  The offsets are a bit off, but I think they will work and I like the way they look

If your maintaining 200 degrees thats not to bad.  Experimenting with diff thermostats, fan on/off timing, distributor timing can help. You ever get down Orlando/Kissimmee area give us a shout.   

Hey Mark,  I've been driving the car in this 100 deg weather we've been having and the temps started getting up to 210 - 215.  Not really used to seeing much past 200 on any of my other cars.  This is after the radiator, water pump, water pump housing and thermostat replacement.  I put more advance in the timing (now about 36 BTC @ 2500rpm), took the transmission cooler and moved it away from the radiator,  put in a high flow 180 deg thermostat (had a NAPA 165 in it before) and put a bottom radiator hose with a coil inside to prevent collapse and now the car runs 180 ALL DAY LONG!...Even idling for long periods of time.  Thanks!

I actually make it down to Orlando for business quite a bit.  Do you have a Mopar shop in Kissimmee?
