Chirping noise coming from bell housing, I think.
« on: May 16, 2015 - 11:59:00 AM »
So i have a little chirping noise that comes from my bell housing area sometimes. Not all the time. Could this be something not quite lined up? It shifts and runs fine, but i can hear the chirping noise very easily.

Loose converter bolts?...or flex plate to crank bolts?
Bent starter shim?
If only one of the boltheads hits the starter shim you will hear an irritating noise.

I have similar noise, hard to diagnose. It's driving me crazy.  :pullinghair:
Let us know what you find to responsible for it.

Check to make sure your starter solenoid is retracting the starter gear fully. I had that happen once. Easy to check. Let us know what you find
