Evening everyone. My driver's side door latch on my challenger broke the plastic slider piece in the latch assembly.

Does anyone know if they sell these pieces by themselves.  I don't need a new latch, just the plastic piece.

I attached a photo of what I'm looking for.

Thanks!

Probably better off just trying to get a whole new assembly.

Is that the passenger side?

I was able to make a new piece out of some plastic I had already.  Yea, no need to buy another lock assembly!  Door finally closes fine.

I love your build thread, I can tell you are a picky SOB like me doing it the way you are, but keeping the overspray off all the rest is going to be a PIA. BTDT  I'm looking forward to the painting of the rest of the car it looks awesome so far! Oh and you may want to do that Cuda BEFORE you get married while you are engaged THAT will tell if you found the right woman.  :roflsmiley:

Thanks Brillo1974!!! It's a slow process, im picky yes. But i also admit there are things on this car that are not perfect and no matter how hard i tried i could make the best I could. To the average person it will look fine i think. To many on this site they'll be able to pick it apart. But i did the best i could and learned a lot on the way of doing it.

My future Mrs is pretty cool. I can't do the cuda now because of the cost of the wedding and saving up for my future step daughter's college, ugh...cant wait to see that bill. Maybe if i find one somewhere i can buy it now and store it away until im ready to work on it. Who knows. But i do know im ready to get this car on the road and drive instead of working on it so much.I

If anyone picks your car apart it will because they never worked on their own more than likely. I have NEVER seen a perfect car in the eye of the person working on it if they are picky, I don't think I have ever done anything that I was totally satisfied with. It's all a learning experience no matter what you are doing.
Maybe if you invest enough in you future step daughter and she makes enough money she will buy you that Cuda.  :2thumbs:

Hahaha good ideaBrillo1974. Maybe she can good enough to become a multi-millionaire.  Who knows. If she did, i would want to get one that needs restored. I enjoy working on old cars, just ready for this one to be done.

Finally installed the trunk and did fit & finish on it.  Almost done on the final trial fitting of the grill.  Hopefully in another day that will be done.  Once the grill is fitted correctly then I'll go to installing the hood for the last time.  Getting closer to paint the car finally, can't wait.

Forgot to add that I will be painting the grill satin black.  Looks like I'll have a lot of wet sanding inside the all those little square openings in the grill when it comes time to painting.
