Finished painting the front grill on Friday.  It turned out ok, not 100% perfect but it will definitely work for the car. 

Now onto prepping the car for paint.  Hopefully I'll get it ready this week.  I have a couple of softball games to go to to watch my daughter play, 3 of them I believe.  It's going to be a busy season!

Yea the kids sports are very time consuming. All worth it but...

I have a daughter in high school that plays basketball. High demand team with lots of "dedication" involved.

Well the body is grtti g to being fully prepped. Before i paint i wanted to make sure i figured out how to install the door glass. Man is that a technique driven install! I'm a little concerned I'll scratch the glass or the paint. Im sure there's an easier way to install it then what im doing. Anyone ha r suggestions for door glass install or now where to find an illustration of the installation procedure?

I wasn't able to paint the car yet, but the make shift paint booth is up and the car is getting prepped.  I'm hoping to paint this Thursday.

Finally everything is ready for painting!!!!  Long time coming.  I will start painting tomorrow morning.  I think I'm actually going to drink a beer first to take the edge off just a little bit and put some Johny Cash on in the back ground.

So you are basically painting this car inside out correct? I am just beginning to go down this road with my Cuda and start the body work, I have all of the fabrication done. I will not be painting the entire interior of the car, just some of it. I also have already painted the engine compartment. So I am now planning on aligning the fenders, then start to fix any body issues (there are very few as most of the panels are new). Once I get it blocked out to where I want it, then I am planning on priming it, removing the fenders, painting inside them, remounting them, then painting the entire car.

Hi 70chall440.  Yes you are correct, basically I'm painting the same method you described.  I painted all the back side of the doors, fenders, hood and trunk lid with them off.  Then assembled them, got my gaps where I wanted them.  I did all my block sanding before I painted anything.
