Thank you. Hopefully there will be plenty watching from behind me.

More now...
The conversion to MS3 will run full sequential.
I will be using a set of LS coil packs. Current setup I have them mounted up high due to the manifolds being low. With turbo manifold setup they will need to be relocated lower. I want to get the MS3 installed and debugged prior to adding boost. Also note that nothing is wired up yet. Everything is still running as ma Mopar put together.

With distributor no longer needed I have made a hybrid piece to use for a cam sensor. Lower half fits like distributor upper half mounts a Ford style sensor from a 302.

Sweet . This was the direction I wanted to head with my 71 Charger but....

Thanks. The items posted so far have been condensed quite a bit. I tend to ramble on with details sometimes.
When the Ms3 conversion happens I will detail all the good and bad. I am sure there will be bad because I know next to nothing on it. I will be jumping with both feet to see where it lands. That is why I kept my options open to still utilize the carb. If I struggle figuring Ms out I can go back to driving with carb and just do more research and try again later.
Hopefully my detailing can help others along.

Everything shown basically gets this up to current so updates will slow down significantly.

This is a home project All items shown up to now have been made there.

I cad designed some new hood emblems for a little advertising of what lurks under hood. These are the only items made at work.
They mimic the original font, slant and size.
Started on a plate

Then cut away the back side to leave the posts standing and remove the rest.

Kept machining until they were free.

A lot of sanding and deburring later I painted them dark gray. Sanded off the top face to reveal the aluminum and clear coated them with a satin.

No sluffing off now that I am advertising.

Small progress on the cold piping. Have welded together the upper transition pieces and tacked one to its flange. Lots of mocking and trimming here to clear the hood. There is only about 1/8 inch clearance from top of silicone elbow to the hood. Overall I do not really like  how they are shaping up. Will be functional but not sure of the overall look.

I have however now purchased the MS3x so I will start wiring it in. This will get me moving on something else while I think about the piping design.
Should be interesting to figure out. Dodge 360, Ford throttle body and cam sensor with LS coils near plug and custom 36-1 for the crank.

Nothing real exciting but have started the wiring process. From battery I am using a reset breaker to feed an 80 amp continuous duty relay. This is feeding a jy scavenged fuse and relay power block. Pulled from a Lincoln. 20+ fuses and 6 relays. It was a trunk mounted piece and is not brittle from being up with engine heat. Lower cost alternative with plenty of room to grow. Not sure if previously mentioned but long term plan is to eventually replace all the wiring. Original wiring that remains will effectively only be feeding some relays.

Pile to start with. Leaving extra length everywhere to allow proper relocation of items when time to clean up. Initial firewall pass thru is all the way to left side thru an existing hole that was for the manual pump windshield washer. Cleaned up the bulkhead will most likely be where the original heater motor passes thru. I will use a hidden bulkhead for the Vintage Air setup.

Making detailed wiring diagrams so I will know what I previously was doing a month later.

Shipping Santa has provided all the MS items I should need. All wiring will remain off line until final switch over. Still going to drive this thing carbed until then.

I just got my cuda running on MS3x. I'm batch firing ignition only right now. I still have the carb on it. I'm going to start the transition to fuel as well but I wanted to get it fired on ignition first so I have less to trouble shoot at one time. I'm using the same coils you are but I mounted them to the top of the valve covers. Also, I used a cam sensor from a Jeep 4.0 and an adapter to make it fit. If I can get my pics to work ill post them

Wiring, wiring and more wiring.
Just an amateur at this so it will be slow going.

Got the start of everything laid out on my 1968 workbench.

Plans were to initially use an existing hole in the firewall on the drivers side for wire pass through and eventually move to where the heater blower motor resides when I convert to Vintage Air setup. But...
I recently found this large diameter firewall plug at a local jy. It appears to be slightly smaller than my existing hole where it clips in. I will make an adapter plate that will correct this and it will bolt on using the existing 3 heater mounting holes. The outer rubber of plug is larger than the current hole so adapter plate will not even be seen. Saves me from in essence doing the wiring twice. Additional upside is I will no longer need a bulkhead and will make the entire harness utilizing the component connectors. Real clean and simple.

Downside is that car is/will be non op for a bit and I will be without the heater system. Figure I don't drive it much anyway in poor weather. CA weather...
Heater motor and removed heater hoses. Supposidly only these three bolts and a single j hook inside to drop box out. Will need to seal off cowl hole though.

Large plug that when done will get wire wrapped to seal off.

Back side showing clips

Stripping, cleaning and identifying ls coil harnesses.

Far side of pic I am utilizing a Dodge truck harness for remainder of required connectors.

Thanks. I like your crank trigger bracket. Might try one similar.

Yep, wiring is like a giant pile is spaghetti. Another reason I did spark first. Baby steps.

I used the same harness you have and looks like all the same connectors too. Got the trigger wheel and bracket from Ross Racing Machine in Maryland. http://www.rossmachineracing.com/ its not on their website but they make it on request.

Check out this thread over at Dodgecharger.com http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,99432.0.html  It's what REALLY helped me out. Its discussing big block but some will apply to you as well.

Thanks I will check it out.
My thread in here is a really condensed version.
I have made most everything. So will also make the bracket. It's what I do...

yeah, I wish I had the tools to make stuff. I need a welder, bandsaw, lathe, etc  and somewhere to put it all. LOL

Heater box is removed.
No pics but made a flat plate to seal off the outside air opening. Bent a couple of pieces of all thread to make j hooks to hold it in place.

This plate seals off the firewall including the 2 heater hose openings. Turns out the required hole for the wire plug is exactly the same as firewall except where one edge is more oval. The three notches on large opening is clearance so plug clips to firewall only. The 4th clip on plug attaches to adapter plate.

With plug in plate. You can also see scribed lines where heater hoses will also be blocked off.

Mounted and sealed. The plate just completes the diameter.

You can barely see the plate showing past od of plug on lower left.

All the wiring pulled thru. This is making the harness so simple.

Happiness is remembering to put on the shrink wrap prior to connecting all the pigtails.

This wrap will be pushed up to seal off pass thru in the plug.
