I didn't know if anyone's still considering this swap but I'm doing it in my 72 Dart. Saving +300lb off the front end off the car over a Hemi is a plus and is just begging for a couple EcoBoost turbos.
What transmission to use was a major stumbling block initially but Quicktime now has bellhousing to mate a Tremec T5.( pn RM-4070). Just thought that info could be useful.

Interesting enough and different.
Should start a build thread for it...
Removing the warning labels one at a time.
Nature will take care of the rest.

That would be really cool. Keep good notes. Lots of folks will be interested. I think there is easily 400HP to be had out of that engine. Its so light weight the performance benefits will be awesome.

Wrangler guys have been putting on superchargers and turbos for a while and are getting 370hp at the wheels through their hp suckling 4wd drivetrain.

I towed the shell of my dart 400mile through the hills of  Mo with my 13 Caravan 3.6 and got 18.5mpg..lol so even though my original plan was a 5.7 hemi, the size, weight, hp and redicoulsly flat torque curve of the 3.6l won me over.

I Have a 30k mile 3.6l out of a  2013 wrangler on it way.the wrangler seemed to have the best intake and oil pan setup for the swap.

That QuickTime bellhousing to mate a T5 is on its way too. I haven't worked out the details of the clutch/flywheel.

That would be really cool. Keep good notes. Lots of folks will be interested. I think there is easily 400HP to be had out of that engine. Its so light weight the performance benefits will be awesome.

There are lots of take off turbos from f150 guys upgradin and the orientation of the left and right 3.5 ecoboost  turboss seemed to lend themselves to the single exhaust port of the 3.6l,,,,,but that's really phase2. Getting the engine in and up and running as is, will be phase 1

:2thumbs: Hell yeah dude, that's awesome. Yeah, my Town and Country has the 3.6 and its a nice running motor. Can't wait to see what you get into with this. What engine management do you plan to go with?

Definitely want a RWD engine.  I believe there are differences in a FWD and an the RWD jeep engines. Do the trucks have the 3.6 also?

Found this today. I knew about this SC but didnt know the "claimed" HP. Edelbrock claims 427HP with a bolt on SC. Not too shabby for a light weight v6

I'm a Diablo CMR tuner and also have HpTuners which can both tune the 3.6's PCM, so I want to stick to the factory PCM. Besides needing it for the VVT, the flex fuel option will be nice when using E85 with the turbos. Getting around the security maybe the most challenging part of this project. Since the Jeep gets its speed input from its ABS module, using the electronic throttle is probably not an option but we'll see. I know the guys from Diablo that helped that GasMonkey Dart run its Hellcat hemi, so I'll see what they say.

I know another guy in CA putting a 3.6L + Edelbrock SC+T5 in his 69 Valiant. Im riding his coat tails a bit. He got another prominent Hemi tuner to flash a special PCM and super secret black box to bypass the PCM security. So that's another option.

From my research the Ram 1500 3.6l uses the same intake as Jeep but much different rear sump oil pan. Every other FWD 3.6l uses s different intake and "front" sump oil pan,

Just fyi, Megasquirt will do VVT, and flex fuel. I like the stock PCM option though probably the safest way to go in this case.  Ill be watching as I really want to put one in a 65 Barracuda

. The Stock PCM is light years ahead of an MS, so it would be a last ditched, best worst option
