Up until a little while ago, I hadn't spent much time looking closely inside the trunk of my 70 Challenger.   Now that I have, there are some new "opportunities."   After picking at the surface, a couple of small (for the moment) holes through the trunk floor appeared around a pair of plates (roughly 1" x 4") that support the fasteners for the tailpipe hangars.  The picture below shows the passenger side version.   I can't tell if these plates were added as part of a repair or if that's the setup as it left the factory.   They have to come out either way, but I'd like to make the repair as close to the factory appearance as my skills allow.   Any pics of this area of the trunk for a different arrangement would be appreciated.   Thanks as always for all of the help.
