need help guys
« on: May 18, 2005 - 04:05:16 PM »
a couple of weeks ago my oil gasket for the tranny was leaking and i didnt seem to notice until my tranny overheated one day. i let her cool and got it home and replaced the gasket and put new fluid in her. there were no metal shavings or anything but now that its running good again. i see another leak from the front of the 727 where the torque converter is. its dripping out my inspection plate. what do u guys think. the tranny runs fine. and fluid is fine for now to drive it. i check the level so it doesnt happen again? is it a bad torque converter?

Memories... Oh so bad memories.

On my way to Carlisle last year, my tranny decided to play games with me and put up a smoke screen. :stomp: I had a leak from the torque converter pump. It ran down my headers, thus making the white smoke cloud. I don't know if this is what you have, but dropping the tranny and having it worked on is the only fix.  :madvibe:

if ti si just a minor leak you should be able to run it for a while just keep the fluid topped up
