I think so. I have $12.5k down on it so that's pretty serious. I have a couple offers on my orange car as well, so I'm kind of in limbo waiting for the rest of the cash so I'll know which one I'm keeping.

Well: Here is how she sits (and sits and sits). I accepted the offer on the car and have received a bit less than half the money. In the mean time my orange car has been sold so I'm having a tough time letting the car sit and waiting for the balance of the funds. I want to talk to the buyer but he has promised to show up for the last two months (local fellow) and hasn't.  Next step is getting the infamous top laid down so I can blast in the windows and interior and spend a couple hours installing the coil, priming the engine and firing it. The deal was as-is though and I've already taken the car much further than was agreed too.

Vinyl roofs are cursed. I finally found a pro to do an install (after like 6 or 7 months), guy comes over and certainly did a nice job of laying it on there. New buyer wants a black top (which I disagree with but it's going to be his car), anyway the guy gets to the left side and says he's messed up and the top is 1 inch over to the left. Sonofa! The good news is my bodywork on the window plug looks absolutely perfect.
I'll wait a week  and if the new owner is good with the top I'll hammer the windows and interior in.

Heading down to the garage to pull this mess off. I dunno why I am doing this as the buyer should make the installer pull it off. Oh well, I just want this car done and gone. I hate the wrong colour top on here though.

Buyer is a current Camaro owner, wants to fit in? Not going to be as cool as original that's for sure, funny thing is I have a brand new, correct, white top ready to go on. I should have a sit down with him and give him what he's paid me so far and keep the car but I told him I'd sell it to him and I don't want to go back on my word.

Some things are just plain wrong. Black on that is one of them...

As for hitting the garage to remove it. Many times it is better to do stuff like that to keep things rolling AND personal piece of mind.
Bad enough looking at a bad color choice but to also know installation is bad.

Clean start = clear mind

Mike: Yes I agree. Honestly with the second black roof I'll really want it out of the garage soon. I even prefer the all FJ5 look but of course you can't do that with an SE. The white roof is what she was born with and is what she should be wearing.

Putting frame connectors on E bodies is like nuetering your Dog.

It hurts to do it, but they live longer and happier lives after.

It's funny how a black top and white stripe looks good with some colors, but not others. And yeah I don't think it works on a sublime car either.

My brother is almost at the point of having his original NOS gator grain top installed on his Challenger, one word we surely do not want to hear that day is "Oops" ...

Have enjoyed following along on this build and your orange car as well.
