Hand sanding consists of a box of 80 grit DA paper & a couple hours of your time...
I'm just trying to tell you the right way, it seems everyone wants a shortcut... Then when there are issue later you wonder why.... BTDT... Do it right & you never have to second guess...
The again I'll just quit wasting my time trying to explain to people who don't listen...
That's fine if it's only a couple hours but that's not what I was quoted, it was a whole day of shop time. I'm not going to take the car into the shop, have them blast it, take the car back sand it a couple hours and then bring it back to the shop so they can prime it. I want it done all at once. If they truly need to sand it, then so be it. But before I commit to an expense like that , I'm going to research it before throwing down that kind of money. Some people are saying it's not required while others are saying it is. Is hand sanding going to hurt anything, not at all. What I don't want is a shop trying to oversell their services. Again, before I say yeah knock yourself out with my money, it better be necessary.....and yes, I do listen, but try not to limit myself to just one person's opinion of "the right way".
