Looking good Alan,
Glad to see you are on schedule for Carlisle.
You got yours put together while I'm still waiting on the metal to start mine.
Good Luck with the rest of the build and enjoy Carlisle

"There's no such thing as putting a '70 AAR 'Cuda exactly where you want it. The 'Cuda isn't interested in such things, for they require finesse. Finesse asked the 'Cuda out to dinner once, but the 'Cuda stood it up to go drink beer under an overpass with her hot little sister. As far as this car is concerned, finesse can go stuff itself."

When you only work for 30 mins a day I guess that leaves lots of time for biking lol.

Just to put it in perspective we know you can assemble a car in 32 seconds, clearly, but how long did your first resto take? Can you remember?

Huh ?......my story....okay......I was born.. a poor black child.... :roflsmiley:

It started over 30 years ago with a 1972 Barracuda which I cloned into a 340 Cuda, it probably took a few years altogether because we were driving them daily back then. Although I "fixed it up" I certainly wouldn't call it a restoration. I sold it in 1989 for $8500 plus a parts car. I owned 18 Cudas and 6 Challengers in about a three year period after that.
The next Cuda a 73 340 car took maybe a little over a year, again, nothing I would call a complete restoration.
The first closest thing to a resto was my 71 440+6 Cuda convertible clone which took a couple of years...it ended up in a couple of magazines back in the early 90's.

In 1993 I did a 71 Duster Twister...my first REAL FULL RESTORATION....I did that car in 11 months. That was the first car I put the engine/K frame in from the bottom....

The rest is history....

You can see all these cars and more right here: http://www.alangallantautomotiverestoration.com/PAST-RESTORATIONS.html

...and to add...for the first eight years I did all of these cars in my parents back yard or driveway...we never had a garage.
I have a picture of me wearing a snowmobile suit working on the driveway on my back with my 71 Cuda convertible  up on axle stands...I think I was installing the exhaust and driveshaft...
For the Duster I borrowed a friend garage to do the re-assembly....

I've never had a garage until I got married in 2000
