Replacing the Key-in Switch
« on: June 05, 2015 - 12:38:47 PM »
Is it possible to replace only the Key-in switch in the steering column, or must the entire turn signal switch assembly be replaced?

What is the best re-pop source for the switch or entire assembly?

Thanks,

Rick

The turn signal switch, ignition switch and lock cylinder are all individual pieces that can be replaced separately.

Thanks, I thought I saw a picture and description of it being part of the turn signal switch.  But that wouldn't make sense since it's part of the ignition switch harness.

It depends which part you need , Rock auto should list the electrical switch usually made by Standard , they probably list the lock also if that is what you need , there is also the switch for key in ign warning which us also separate & I do not know if a repro part

Just a quick follow-up.  I'm looking for the "key-in" switch.  I'll be looking for one at carlisle in a few weeks.
