Upper Control Arm Bumpers
« on: June 06, 2015 - 01:57:16 PM »
Hey guys,

I'm looking to get a couple of new upper Control arm bumpers.  I see a wide range in prices.  Are there really any difference in the bumpers?  Who has the best ones?  What are your recommendations.  Thanks

Dave

Before you buy, what are you doing with the car? I put in larger t-bars and lowered the front. So I had to buy much different bumpers from stock. They are only 3/8" high from energy suspension. I think the pair cost 13 bucks.

The "upper" bump stops don't take any abuse.  They are only used when the car is up in the air and the suspension is all the way DOWN.  You don't even really need them.  They just give the UCA something soft to rest on.  The bumpers will never be used while driving.  They are way too far away from the control arms at ride height.  Get which ever ones are cheapest IMO.  Now, if you meant "lower" control arm bump stops, then "dodj" is correct.  If the car is lowered, you'll need short bump stops.
