That is true, but that doesn't prevent him from assigning all or some rights to others.

Very true.  The problem I ran into was that I couldn't get anyone to make copies of any pictures with a photographers signature on it even if he said it was okay.

I have asked Brenten, the photographer to do me up an A3 print of each so as I can frame them I will pay him for them. He needed a black car to photgraph at night to test some ideas on lighting he had as he is only a young guy doing this as a hobby/profession a such so I helped him out with the car and am happy to pay for prints as they turned out well.
