1970 FM3 Challenger Project
« on: June 08, 2015 - 12:33:42 PM »
Here is are pictures of the 1970 FM3 318 Challenger that I got off e-bay in Feb 2013. I've been looking for and FM3 Challenger for quite a few years so I jumped on this one.

I actually fully document my restorations on my website here: http://www.relicrecyclery.com/PantherPink/page1/FM3_1.htm
but decided to create a thread here, for the benefit of the forum. -Chris

Love the car, love FM3...but the biggest shocker for me here is:

I was not aware of the structural integrity of milk crates! More useful than record storage lol.

Are you doing the bodywork yourself?

Yes, I do all of the work myself. The only thing I don't do on my restorations is the actual machining of the block and head along with the valve work on the head. I'm just not equiped for it.

Milk Crates can support a lot of weight. I always put a 12x12 piece of plywood on top of them to distribute the load along the perimeter of the crate. Otherwise it will want to collapse at the contact points.
