1970 FM3 Challenger Project

Here is are pictures of the 1970 FM3 318 Challenger that I got off e-bay in Feb 2013. I've been looking for and FM3 Challenger for quite a few years so I jumped on this one.

Love the car, love FM3...but the biggest shocker for me here is:

I was not aware of the structural integrity of milk crates! More useful than record storage lol.

Are you doing the bodywork yourself?

Are you doing the bodywork yourself?

Yes, I do all of the work myself. The only thing I don't do on my restorations is the actual machining of the block and head along with the valve work on the head. I'm just not equiped for it.

Milk Crates can support a lot of weight. I always put a 12x12 piece of plywood on top of them to distribute the load along the perimeter of the crate. Otherwise it will want to collapse at the contact points.

Holly crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Im with you  you spent a lot of time to trust milk crates to keep your baby on!!!!    Great worK!
