cuda challenger headliner bows?
« on: June 10, 2015 - 11:49:33 PM »
I'm pretty sure I know the answer but I'll try anyways. Are 71 cuda and challenger headliner bows interchangeable?  My 71 cuda is a 4 bow and I'm looking for the center one so I can use the 5 bow that was ordered for my car.  If not does anyone have the center one they want to sell?

Thought that 5 bows was a 70-71 thing but apparently not.

I just installed a 5 bow headliner in my -72. The fifth bow i couldnt find so i just made my own out of a piece of round steel. Several trial fittings for the actual shape, some heat on the ends to create the bends, thats it!

I don't know how it is a 4 bow. It's a June build car. I didn't personally take the headliner out but the last owner said he did and it was original. The car has the spots for the 5 bows. So are challenger bows different than cudas?

different width , you can grab bows out of wider cars like C bodies etc , cut them & shape them to fit

What are the colours of the bows on a 5 bow car? Both the 71 cudas I have are 4 bow. I'm wondering if I can use one from the other set to make the one I need for the 5th center one?

Thanks Alan. I guess I need to find a blue one. Would someone be able to bend one of the other ones to make them work for the middle one?
