Wow, what a legacy.

My first car was a Vega, my Buddy had a Gremlin, and in laters years, I raced a Pinto. Belive it or not, the Ford 2300 engine is a very popular 4 cylinder race engine. Naturally, in competition you want to use the lightest chassis available with any engine combination so what would you put that 2300 into...not a Mustang, too large, so natually, a Pinto.

The Gremlins were OK , Pacer not so much , I just built a killer AMC 360  before leaving Canada & put it into a Pacer ..... what could be worse then getting your doors blown off by a pacer LOL !!

I've had two Gremlins. The second one had a towing package, heavier front and rear springs, and front and rear sway bars. The second owner back from me had put coil-over shocks on it. I outran and outhandled a lot of cars with my Gremlin  :grinyes:

Not sure if you this option, it either was the Levi or Wrangler edition? Try getting Legendary to make a set of seat covers for that!  :smilielol:

Neither of my Gremlins or my Javelin had the Levi's option, but my CJ5 did. I always figured I'd cut up some jeans

I had a gremlin.  It was my first car.  What a POS!!!  Could barely keep it running.  Handled like crap.  Didn't go in snow.  The rust holes were so big that I had to  wipe the snow off the outside of the car and the inside!!  It was gold with a green and white stripe. I rolled down the windows, bought 6 cans of black spray paint, and sprayed it in the driveway without even washing it.  The front seat was actually big enough for a good "make out" session.  It wasn't easy to pick up girls in it though.  I don't miss that car and I have very little nostalgia about wanting another one.  You guys are a lot more hardcore than I will ever be about AMC.  I was even born in Kenosha!!

Pacer X and pacer wagons were cool, lol. A Pacer wagon sold on ebay a few years back. some guy thought it was going to be a collectable. it was BRAND NEW! Plastic on the seats and everything.
Drop dead gorgeous. Sold for like 6500. Damn nice. I'd drive the snot out of it. It was BAD A$$, and then some, lol. Saw an old, I don't know what ir was? Station wagon. Blue with fake wood grain today.

Saw it 1/2 mile away at a truck stop. some old folks were driving it. never seen that color combo.
It was hideous, yet beautiful. You could see it 1/2 mile away. Said to my buddy, Oh look! it is Clark from National Lampoon! ol. And it was. It was so cool/ugly! I would drive the snot out of it as well.
A rust spot in front of the rear wheel well, but roof rack and everything. Straight out of 1972. or whatever. It was BAD A$$! lol.
Never seen that color combo. Usually it's white, brown, green, or yellow. NEVER BLUE.
One would NEVER lose it in a parking lot, even if the keys were left in it, lol. It was MINT! lol.

{oo/-------\oo} In '69 I was twenty-one and I called the road my own. I don't know when that road turned into the road I'm on. Jackson Browne

I almost bought a Pacer. All the fishbowl glass had been removed and replaced with a Jeep-type snap top, and the roof panel had been cut up, with Trans-Am T-tops installed. It was essentially a Pacer convertible. Had serious transmission problems, so I bailed on it.
