1970 challenger
« on: June 15, 2015 - 09:48:33 PM »
Hey guys, just picked up a 1970 challenger project, and this is going to be a big project.  I have about 95% of all parts necessary for the car, missing a driveshaft, front windshield and side markers that's it.

Car came with a 440, and 3 different rear-ends, the best one being a Dyna 60, but I have to get it cut as it's too wide.  I'm going to need some help as I've only built GM's in the past as it's all I could afford, these mopars are big money  :hyper:

The car came with new rear quarter panels, new trunk, new trunk pan, new doors, and a new hood.  I've recently ordered new fenders.

Anyways I appreciate all the help in advance and advice.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!  I'm from Kansas City, MO

I've rebuilt several GM's through-out the years but deep down inside always wanted a classic mopar, just never could get my hands on one.

I've already began tearing down the engine and some things are a little unique compared to what i'm used to, so i'll start my research and will start a build thread as well.

Thanks guys!  Plans for the car will be a TX9 paint code, rebuilt 440 with a tremec 5 speed manual transmission.  If you are aware of some great write up's for that conversion throw them my way!

Welcome from NY.  I have a 70 Challenger as well, but mine come with a mouse instead of an elephant under the hood.  You have absolutely come to right place for guidance, support and the occasional laugh.  I hope you're right about having 95% of the parts you need.  Every time I go to the Roseville moparts website I find something I didn't know I needed.
