I don't have a problem with the re-body unless the seller tries to do it and pass it off as an original car. Then again what about an original car being so valuable that unless it is a re-body it will not survive?  :clueless:

These are pictures of frenching in the '71 Roadrunner side markers. I just hate the "stick on" markers they put on the '72 Challengers and up. In '72 they did the same thing with the Roadrunner.

Cool, price has come down $3k since they were first announced.

 I'd love to get hold of a few of these to make race cars out of. Guess I'd better start buying lottery tickets again.

Absolutely I wear protective goggles and a respirator as well. There was a portion of the drivers quarter panel that I found filled with body putty from a skin replacement at the body line and cut in above the wheel well.  I pulled the putty out and leaded it in. I wanted metal in there as I did not want to suffer the body putty woes when it would shrink due to it's thickness. I also pounded out the metal as close as I could before leading it in.

Slow progress but productive. I pulled out the headlight buckets and repaired the rusted through areas and plug welded them back in. After I painted the back of the fenders with POR15 I sprayed the fenders with sealer/primer. I still need to do the filling and sanding to get them ready for mounting but it was a lot of work to get them to this stage. I also noticed some differences between the two and I think the passenger side is a newer fender. I found damage from a wreck on the cowl where the inner fender had been jammed into it. The frame is okay so on I go. I also repaired a break on the piece on the drivers side. This must be different as well as there was no damage to the fender. I primed that as well. Next up is the doors. They are in good shape, so I hope, and I will POR15 the inner areas especially around the bottom and weep holes.

I am planning on painting her House of Kolor Shimrin 2 KBC13 Burple. The black sealer is also the first coat to go down before the Kandy color. It's a purplish blue with a lot of black.

Still no money but plugging ahead. The driver door had two major dents in it. Unfortunately there is a crash support beam directly in back of them and I cannot pound them out from the back. I bought a stud puller to pull them out. I am getting closer to where I will lead them in as they are right on the body line. I have other similar areas so the investment in the stud puller is not a total bust. I am expecting some money around the first of the year so maybe I can hobble enough of a suspension together to get her back on her wheels. Doing this on a shallow and sometimes non existent budget sucks but nothing new to a lot of you guys in here I am sure.

Another thing I would especially recommend if you have acquired an incomplete project car with half the parts missing is this book. It has all the nuts and bolts as they originally came with the car including finishes. I also have the Factory Chassis and Body manuals for the e body. These are also available for the B bodies as well. Most of the guess work is made simpler with these. I study these at night before I take on any procedure to get my bearings straight.
