Now this is kind of cool - 2013 "Superbird"
« on: June 16, 2015 - 09:02:48 PM »

Now this is a pretty slick looking new-Challenger "Superbird" conversion - I especially like the look and fit of the nose-cone  It's for sale at Gateway Classic Cars - bang it here to check it out http://gatewayclassiccars.com/orlando/1978/volkswagen/beetle-convertible-S184.html (I don't know why the link refers to a '78 VW 'vert, but it will take you to the "Superbird")
Cheers!

Is it just me? The point of the nose seems too high.

Is it just me? The point of the nose seems too high. It's because the body style is higher than the Superbird. to me it still is a waste of money! :smokin:

I think it's because they're having to conform to the relatively high crown line on the new Challengers.

Those things have been around for a long time.  I always thought the nose looked good but the stick-on scoops and wing... :puke:

Has anyone done this to a new charger?  Seems a little odd to be done on a challenger, but it still looks good to me.  I could drive that and feel good about it.

It's possible, but the expense would be turning the charger into a 2 door!

A 4 door car should NOT be called a Charger.   :2cents:  Pretty stupid    :2cents:

I looked at a charger front end last night.  It is not streight and flatish like the challenger.  It is much more angular with more body lines.  I would suppose it would make it alot harder to get the look of a superbird with the more stylized front sheetmetal.  The long body of a charger would fit in better with the look of a superbird, even if it has an extra set of doors.  Any photoshop experts out there?

:eek7: Yeah, the wing is bit "oversized" for the car ... but I still kind of like the "aero" nose on it :grinyes:

crucify me if you want...but IMHO the only thing I like about the new charger is the taillights. Other than that, it seems like a rebadged modern Intrepid.
