Originally had A/C, currently a 4spd & an 8.75... So whats the story? is it really a U code? if so it should be an Auto.... I like that it has a 4spd but if thats stock it either started life as a 383/340 or a 318.....   Was it black originally? How about a shot of the fender tag?   BTW when did Stewart Warner start making OE gauges?

For that price something is not adding up.

It could be that since it does not have the original motor it's knocked down some.

Also, after looking at the dataplate no D21 so it's not a original 4 speed car, it did come with a 727 tho!!! Interior color is not right either.

Maybe it's far from original after all.

Originally EB7 Dark Blue with a White vinyl top & the extremely rare Blue & White interior.... It's nice now but man what a shame it wasn't put back to the original combo.... It's missing the white vinyl bump strip but I'd have left that off too...  Cool car.... Should have power 11" drum brakes.. Definitely no power now.. Looks like it could have 10" drums... Couldn't say for sure for what I saw in the video...

condition of the undercarriage is interesting (see 6:45 in the video) ...... rust coating on the axles and part of the undercarriage, looks like they painted right over the leak or sealer on the pumpkin. fun driver probably, but will need love in the future

We bought a '72 Duster from these people and there were a bunch of things they failed to disclose as well as shoddy work by them before shipping it to us.   I would have a professional assessor view the car before purchase.

Some of the problems:  No seat belts, duct tape on the top of the back seat, leaking gas tank with rattle can silver on it and half the underneath of the car, had them install a heater core and they used the wrong-sized hoses (3/4 & 5/8?!?!?), front suspension was a mess, etc.

There is risk in every vehicle purchase.  As mentioned, a thorough inspection by a professional is the way to go.  Spend a couple hundred dollars for peace of mind.  Dealers don't know everything about the cars they sell. Of course some are crooks, that is why the car sale industry is one of the most distrusted industries around.

Perhaps old verses new.

If I was considering a hemi car I would not accept a newer block at the same value as one cast back in the era.

They have a sale pending note on the car already. They go thru some Cuda's, Challengers and Darts quickly. Most of the cars look to be in great shape and they do a good job with the video. They tell you a lot about the car but it's disheartening to hear there's also a lot of stuff they don't tell you. It is best to go look and drive the vehicle or, if you can't, hire someone to do it for you, no matter where it is.
