MSD, Pertronix, FBO. I'm lost

Ok, I have a late model 440 low compression motor. I am putting in a Hughes whiplash cam, and RPM intake. I have a cheap distributer with orange box (was bought off ebay). I'm thinking of upgraging the ignition system. I do want a distributer which can control advance.
Do I need a complete system or just a distributer? Orange box or MSD?
What is the best option?

No reason why the FBO is any different.

If it crapped out, (which it won't) put a mopar ECU in, remove the bypass wire on the ballast and get going again.

I've heard at least a few saying the Rev n Nator crapped out and you saying the FBO did as well.

At least the FBO has a 3 year warranty.

Yup, everything breaks.... At some point.
I installed an MSD box and am happy with it, so I recommend them. Others had the MSD box crap out on them, so those guys say the MSD is a pos. All comes down to personal experiences.

Were going to use the MSD-6AL-2, the newest version. It's smaller and supposed to be a better product. Time will tell.

So I guess its all personal preference and which one lasted longer?

I think I'm leaning towards FBO, but if they are all pretty much the same I will just go with one that dosent cost an arm and a leg!

FBO box is made in U.S.A.

Is the MSD or the Rev N Nator made here as well?

Rev-A- Nator says Made in USA on paper.

MSD does not say where made, makes me think Chi Coms, was really surprised by that.

The Rev N Nator still requires the use of the ballast resister. I would like to remove it if possible. Otherwise it sounds like a great option.

FBO is a 12V system to the coil. Is the Rev N Nator?
