Thanks Brad, there is some pretty cool rigs there fore sure. I have been picking up stuff for the Fargo little by little , I am working at home now so when I finally get the challenger done  I will start working on the Fargo, still not sure which direction I'll go with  but there is lots of options.

I have no use for a hauler but want one badly... I had my D700 but it just wasn't conducive to making a hauler without a lot of $$. I just found a 65 D600 with 14" flat bed which would be perfect but it is 400 miles away and I really don't want to drive it, plus I cannot afford it now.

I think I am leaning in a different direction, a retro (read restomod) tow rig. I am thinking of getting a mid 90's 12V Cummins pick up, ripping the cab off and installing something older.
Current Mopar

Past Mopars
9 x Challengers. AAR Cuda, 4 RR, 2 GTX, 4 Chargers, etc... (too many to list)

That's what I'd love to do also. Leave the long wheelbase and find a D100 van and cut it up to make a "cub cab/sleeper/ Carlisle parts hauler" of sorts for cordodge front end and an aluminum deck on the back , sort of like  Don Prudhommes hauler

That sounds sweet, I should try and sketch something like that. Sleeper would be nice probably have to have a split of some kind to allow for the cab to tilt for engine access. Can't wait to start on it really. Feel free to throw out some ideas, nice to see some different visions.

This is a little more what I am thinking, but not a pickup per se.

That is cool !!. I really want to run 4 -14" wide Alcoa wheels and super single tires. But I agree plopping it on a modern chassis would be easier I would say.

I think I would use the " doghouse" like the D100 vans have. Easier?  :dunno:  I'd use the D100 sportsman van as a donor because of all the windows. :bigshades:

Yeah for sure, it would look pretty nice I think, obviously would have to put a front end on it and leave a small gap for the cab to tilt. Think I'll find one and do some measuring. Would you use as much of the van you could and match up the rear wheels with the wheel openings of the van you think? Those L-700s came as short as an 89" wheel base.

I was meaning/wondering what it would look like built as non tilting, basically cut off right behind the 1st (or second?) door ahead of the rear wheel opening then adding your back half. Basically adding in the second set of door? (s) ? between your cab ? Then have the rear wheels under the ramp part out back..  :dunno:  Just thinking out loud....?

Yeah I see what you mean, I think if I don't have a flat deck cause I'll tow a trailer I could find a A100 van cut it off behind the front doors and see what it looks like and if I have to cut more I could ??  I think your on to something. The roof line, rain gutters and basic van body would match up with the cab I think.

If its a gooseneck trailer you could use the box part off a A 100 pick up truck?  or just make a pick up bed from whats left of the van?
