would that have been stock? it just looks very thrown in after the fact.

Yeah, stock... It's a HD truck, back then trucks weren't pretty....  Back when I was in high school after school I use to haul peach bins driving a 66 Dodge D600, 413, 4 spd, 2 spd axle... If you didn't double clutch it right the axle wouldn't shift it would grind & shutter... When you got it right it felt pretty good... Allot tougher that a good shift on a muscle car...

Well not sure, but by the time I'm done with it it will probably have like a 4500. /5500 running gear or something like that. But good question

Yeah not sure, it will basically be a big truck to pull a fifth wheel  so I will need to check into it.

Thanks bruce

Here's something that might excite, 440ci with a short rear 727 underneath.   :burnout:

looks cool dave.

here is a couple picks from the driveway. looking at the truck when i got home it is really solid, most of it is galvanized and the frame is solid as well, cant wait to get stated on it. my buddy has a line on a 24 valve cummins and running gear.

thanks guy's i will start by getting rid of the unwanted stuff like motor/rearend ect.

the 361 in this thing must be industrial as the exhaust manifolds where they bolt to the heads are on an angle, not like a hemi but they are tipped down for sure. never seen that before and the fan is bolted to the crank with this wierd set-up water pump that sits above the intake.and some other odd ball stuff, when i get home ill flip up the cab and take some pics.
