Alan. Will you start with a new project now when the aar is finished?

I have nothing for myself right now....If I find the "right" car to restore I will buy it after the AAR sells. I'm too busy with customer cars right now to worry about myself.

Irregardless of the MC, your AAR is one rockin' ride! It shows a lot better than a lot of other AARs that I have seen. The whole red and black thing really works for me - I think maybe 'cause it is pretty much void of any chrome with the black steelies and the A22 bumpers. Your car doesn't need to be justified 'cause it totally ROCKS! :ylsuper:

Wow! Your AAR is uber-crisp regardless of which wheels are on it :2thumbs:

I don't know what it is about Sweden, but a lot, and I mean A LOT, of sharp Mopars seem to migrate there - it's like their second home away from North America. :dunno:

Agree! the AAR is awesome!!!

Lot of Mopars here, made a small register of registered Challengers and Barracudas in Sweden. Little more than 400 Challengers and more than 500 Barracudas/Cudas. Sadly lot of them in garages since end of 80'. Most imported by importing companies during mid 70'. Private import started later. Today 5000-8000 American cars imported every year depending of Dollar to Krona ratio. In total some 70.000 American cars in Sweden. Cars are cheap to import and own in Sweden, low tax. Similar old-timer vehicle tax adopted in other European countries has increased export from Sweden to those countries. Some info. just in case you wonder....

Your AAR looks great! Not to beat a dead horse, but as far as master cylinders go, the one on your car looks to perhaps be the correct one for '71-'74 disk brake cars, 3461187. I don't know of any ever being used in 1970. I will also be another to go on record as saying all non-hemi 1970 disk brake cars should use the 2229171 master cylinder.

My R/T SE Challenger was built right in and along several AARs based on VIN and build date info I have seen (mine is 289xxx, built late March 1970) and it has the 171 master cylinder.

For those who aren't familiar, the 187 cylinder has the 'bump' on the front, while the 171 cylinder is "thermometer" shaped on the front.

We are restoring my brother's R/T Challenger right now, and his car originally had drum brakes. He is upgrading to disks, but after seeing what 171 cylinders go for these days, we did the next best thing and just put on a 187 cylinder, since not an original disk car anyway. Yes a trained eye can definitely see the difference but once correctly painted black as yours is, it is something many wouldn't even notice IMO.

 Just another detail to drive a person crazy! It always amazes me how many parts on these cars are 1970- only.

Yes alot of cars in Sweden, i have DMV registers for all registered 67-71 E & B body cars.

It seems to me (at least to me it does) that more mopars have migrated to Sweden than anywhere else outside of North America. I found this website a few years ago by a Swedish guy named Roland (you guys know him? Are him?) http://www.mopar70.com/ . In it he has a registry of Challengers in Sweden and when I first saw it I was astounded by just how many of Challengers are listed there (or at least were). The website looks like it may have fallen out of favor as there doesn't seem to be too much recent activity on it. Too bad, because once I found the translator button that Roland so thoughtfully included on his web-page, I found his website to be a wealth of information on Challengers in Sweden.

Yes i know him, but some of the really rare car is in a private collection not too far from where i live. He had 12 Hemi E-body cars at one time. Several Hemicudas & Challengers, 68,69 & 70 Hemi Chargers, superbird and others.. Almost dropped my jaw first time i saw the collection.

But another guy just sold back some of his cars back to US, a R/T-SE hemi challenger, 69 Daytona and some sixpacks.. so not all is coming into Sweden.
