Where to Buy AAR hood, spoiler, etc
« on: May 20, 2005 - 04:34:45 PM »
Who makes a high quality hood and spoiler for these cars?  I want a hinged hood.  I also need the rear spoiler, the front eyelid things and the roadlamps.  Any idea where to buy this stuff?  Thanks, Tyler

DO NOT BUY from Todd Hunter!!!
My AAR hood didn't fit >:(
It was off center to the left and was short in front. He said it must be the body shop.... They work on ferrari's, lambroghini's, and other top end cars. He found out from another customer that mine wasn't the only one. What pissed me off was that I had to pay for half of shipping coming and going US to Canada.
I'm out $300 and no hood. I suggested sending another, but he said no. Good luck dealing with this guy.
Go to www.aarqualityfiberglass.com b/c they have an AAR lift off, but the bolt on won't be ready for a few months.

If you get a year one hood, make sure to inspect it before the shipper leaves. I didn't and was rewarded with a cracked hood. Would cost more to send it back than fix it......all this after I waited 2 months because it was on backorder, I wasn't too happy. And the quality isn't that great either.

70 Cuda, 7.0L Gen-III Hemi, Viper T56 w/9310 gearset, 3.91's, Megasquirt MS3x v3.57, Innovate wideband, Firm Feel upper arms, torsion bars, springs and strut rods, QA1 DA shocks. I did everything on this car except the fancy paint stuff and I drive it...and I can't seem to stop messing with it....

If the hood came in damaged, just give the Customer Service dept a call. They will work something out like covering repair costs of that hood or see about sending another 1. Either way just give them a call, they are really helpful.

He is a one man operation who gets his hoods from someone else. I told him it was damaged and wouldn't believe it until it happened to someone else. I even paid for hood springs that were never in a box so I ordered a set from glasstek. So a word to the wise... deal with a company that has a good reputation.
