t/a hood scoop

I was wondering if anybody made the t/a hood scoop (just the scoop) out of metal and if so who?

AS far as I know, only one guy makes these. He's in South America, and his name is Domingo. I bought one, and again, as far as I know, it's one of 2 that he sold. The craftsmanship is outstanding, but the price is not for the faint of heart. If you're interested let me know (here or by PM) and I'll dig up his info for you.

i might just find a whole t/a....i found a flat steel hood and a fiberglass scoop but im told they wont bond nicely cracks over time and such.

I will say this. Unless his price has gone up a lot, you can get his steel scoop for about 35-40% more than buying a complete fiberglass hood.

$1000 for a steel scoop? Ouch!
I love my AAR Fiberglass hood, they even painted it for me, since I'm local.

$1000 doesn`t surprise me...   it`s not like you build one in an hr or 2...   :grinno:

If you have the skills to weld the scoop into the hood, you also have the skills to build the scoop itself   :2cents:

I gues I just don't understand the point?
Don't you want the hood to be light?

Now if you made an aluminum hood like on the newer cars, that would make sense.
