Hey everyone,

I wanted to drop a line and say hi. 3 years ago I was able to fulfill a teenage dream. When I was 16, a kid I worked with had the good fortune of having a father that was rebuilding a 74 Challenger for him. I never got the feeling that he appreciated it since his father worked on cars all the time. Me, on the other hand was lusting over that Challenger and I said to myself I'd have one one day.

Well I now have one. It's a black 1974 numbers matching 360 Challenger, mostly original with about 60K miles. I've had the engine rebuilt to what the naked eye would see as original but the insides are a different matter. It's been bored over .030, Keith Black Hypereutectic pistons, Comp Cams Hydraulic roller cam, Edlebrock intake and carb, TTI headers and magnaflow exhaust. The previous tricked out the car with some nice touches...a pistol grip shifter, the hood intake trim and side louvers were chromed, nice 70-71 gas cap. It's still a work in progress...I have some hard to find parts that I'm looking for as it had a rear defogger option which is now gone. I do have a question...It has a date of manufacture of April 17, 1974, and If I'm not mistaking didn't they stop making them in April/May of 74...could it be one of the last ones?

Thanks! Look forward to using this forum.

Chris
