Those H5X9 black and orange cloth and vinyl seats are not something that you see very often that's for sure :2thumbs:

Car is on E-bay for 50k.

Lots of cash for a small block column shift car but I am digging the cloth insert interior.

Few things missing like the correct SE like carpet on the bottom of the door panels that goes with the cloth seat option.

No if you look close at the bottom of the door panel in my picture it's just black carpet with a reflector at the rear similar to the door panel carpet used on the 1970 SE Challenger option.

Here is pics of the backside of the carpet on my Challenger with date coding.

Killer bee...is that your car with the insert seats and pistol grip?  That has to be a rare car

Being a new to ebody guy...did the lower carpet on the door panels match the color of the door panel or did it match the seat insert....I've never seen it.

Yes that's my 1971 R/T Challenger.
Original Plum Crazy 383 4 speed car.
The original engine was long gone so I added a 440 Six Pack engine and my all time favorite T/A hood, my own little N94 option change.

I haven't seen too many Challengers with the cloth insert seats, some people like them, some don't.

When I first got the car and saw the door panel carpets I thought somebody swapped the door panels with ones from an SE Challenger but after doing some research I discovered the carpet on the door panels was part of the cloth seat option.

The carpet color matches the color of the door panels.

AFAIK even if the car had white door panels, the lower door panel carpet would still be black.

I love the russet plaid interiors on the '71 Challengers as they are so 'of the era'

A friend locally has the sister car, a white 383/auto R/T with A/C in the same colour combo.

In what's left of my stash I have the remnants of another white on russet plaid '71 R/T that came with the fluorescent orange R/T stripes....

Great colours on the white one. I too had a 71 R/T, 383, 4 speed, B5, Black top and the black and white plaid interior. Sure beats the heck out of the vinyl interiors.
