Not sure what size my tq converter is. At cold start-up, I put it in reverse and it takes four minutes or so to act normally. 727 rev valve, B&M shifter. Ideas?

You probably have converter drain back. My car will do that overnight. Instead of putting it in reverse put it in nuetral and the pump will fill up the converter and only take a minute then you are good to go.

Start your car in neutral will fill it back too.
