I have seen so few Cuda's in California I wonder if you could count them all on 2 hands?

I guess they were bought mainly in the East and South?  :clueless:

Yeah must be spread out, and not like the east coast/south where you could see a bunch of them.

Just curious why so few are still in Calif? I know of more in the Washington/Portland area than in Calif.

I am a So Cal Boy...have been my whole life.  In the Inland Empire (San Bernardino/Riverside) area, there are about 10 Cuda I see on a regular basis at shows and cruise in's.

There seems to be twice the number of challengers to Cudas.  :villagers:

Ron - Born and raised in Southern California

I got the 1970 Cuda, but still need the hot blonde to ride shotgun!

First car -1969 Road Runner 383 4sp

Current ride - 1970 Barracuda 440-6 4 sp Dana 60  (4:10)

I lived in Sacramento during the '80's, and although not as plentiful as the Brand X cars, there were a fair number of 'Cudas running free. I had three of them, including my brief stint as a HemiCuda owner, while I lived there.

With as modest as the herd was, their numbers just could not be sustained. With poor game management and the iron-oxide predators taking their toll, the active number of 'Cudas in the California wild have dwindled down to near extinction.

It's just the power of time.

The Iron Oxide predator has been allot less of a problem than the tendency of the herds to migrate... Many have gone east to replenish the dwindling herds that lived there... It seems early on there were more people willing to pay more for the Cudas.. Here many refused to pay the prices folks were asking & so they went elsewhere...

:iagree: I rarely see many Cudas locally in OC/LA area.  There are about 5 that i know of around (my buddy with 3 of them) and I have seen maybe 3-4 at Pomona Swap Meet that were not for sale.  One 70 yellow BS vert, 71 EV2 Vert (Couldn't see vin), and a 70 black/black hardtop with rear louvers and shaker setup.  Oh yea and I forgot wantone whose a member on here's blue 71 Cuda is local to me as well.

Spent my whole life in California, but I've met more mopar people in my 2 years in Nebraska than I had met my whole life in cali

Yea there are not many around but usually the majority I see are at the Spring Fling and I have met a few through car shows/driving around etc.
